Was rather apprehensive about travelling there and working alone, but it all turned out a-ok.
Someone told me to go and come back a happier girl - happy I was there, but it was shortlived and back to reality at home.
The oh-so-lonesome journey I took from Spore to Dubai was really awfully lonely, but took the time to slow down and spend some time thinking for myself. The lone meals, trips, sleeping was awkward at first, but grew to appreciate the solitude in the end.
Oh and did i mention I had airport troubles again? Waited for eternity to get to the check-in counter only to be told my 1.05am flight is postponed to 9.15am next morning. Could have checked into the complimentary room at Grand Corthorne, but i was already missing my bed.
Re-watched Transformers and caught No Reservations on the lousy in-flight entertainment on the way there. Coz you cant select movies and can only toggle channels to watch whichever movie they are showing. AND THEY REPEAT.

The first picture i took outta Dubai airport. Hotel screwed up my transfer and hopped into a complimentary cabsi.

The suite i shared with my boss *wink*. And the one I caught him in with a 'guest'.
Ahh...the Burj Al Arab 7* hotel they call "The Sail".

The outdoor dinner venue at Madinat Jumeirah, just behind The Sail.

The Minah-Alam posh hotel Steph stayed during her Sony Ericsson event...

The Minah-Alam hotel reception...kewl huh

The Sail at nite.

We had a magician going round to entertain guests. He was the ONLY entertainment, not even backgrd musik. wierd.

The buffet line.

Petro from Nokia Finland (extreme righte) - one of the eye candy i spotted. Thought he's pretty cute in a way. Boss says he's nerdish.

Jan from godknowswhere (left) - the 2nd eye candy i spotted. And so did my boss. Tall, dark, handsome. And jovial. Yum.

My blardy booorring conference, attended by 20 ppl on 1st day, and 60 ppl on 2nd day.

The lousy Marriot hotel, according to my boss. (Just bcoz they dun treat him like the Maharajah like they do in Hyatt Bangkok) hah!

This was taken on the 2nd day in dubai from my room - it was there and then that it hit me I was IN DUBAI. Desert. Camel. Middle East. Desert. Hmm.
One word to describe my experience - COLD.

Air con is blasted thruout the day, even when i off it in my room, it was still so excruciatingly cold. Til when i moved into my boss side of the room then i realised his bed was so comfy and his bathroom had all the bath robes!!!!
Since my flight was delayed, didnt had time to go shoping til last day where i had 2.5 hrs before shops closed. Headed for Mall of Emirates as soon as i finished dinner with boss. This is the lobby of the hotel next door where i dropped off.
Poor dubaians who dun know the snow - Snow City for them! This is inside the giant mall.

Believe me you, this mall is huge. Like 2 times Takashimaya. Once inside, feels like home sweet home coz they have all the shops like in Spore and much more others like my 1 and only target, H&M! Spent 2 hrs there only to realised there's another ladies branch down the other lane...bought an ice cream shake and bulldozed my way through other shops that was about to close..haaa

And i flew home the next day - tired but happy. Coz the inflight system was great! Many many movies and easy navigation.
Now im back home, hoping to spend more quality ME time and disregard the worldly affairs...like work...like relationships...like what clothes to wear...
Am gonna make some changes around here, hoping to succeed and be happier.
Have a safe trip and come back happy too.
Vroom Vroom!
